The state of Pennsylvania medical marijuana program charges an annual fee of $50 for a patient or caregiver medical marijuana ID card. *Individuals participating in Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), Medicaid, Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), PACE Needs Enhancement Tier (PACENET), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Women, Infants and Children (WIC) may qualify for the card at no cost.
Medical Card Renewal Cost
In the state of Pennsylvania, patients much obtain a medical marijuana doctor certification as well as pay the state fee annually. The doctor certification can be obtained within 60 day of the cards expirations. Patients can pay the state fee with 30 days of expirations. However, payment is not tied to the certification/card and may not be aligned with the certification expiration. Instead, patients pay an annual $50 card fee that is good for 12 months.
